Lead Male Roles:

JESUS: (21 or older) The Messiah

Has to have great diction, good tone of voice, and able to demonstrate a vast emotional range. He must be physically fit and be comfortable flying 20 feet in a harness and acting in a loincloth.

GAIUS (CENTURION): (25 or older) The Leader of 100 soldiers

Must have good diction and strong commanding tone of voice. Preferably tall and strong in stature. He is a commander in the Roman Empire and he must command authority. No facial hair and short hair cut. Character also rides a horse.

JUDAS ISCARIOT: VA (18 or older) The one who betrayed

Will need a broad range of emotion. Good diction and tone of voice. Will need to be comfortable wearing a harness for hanging scene. Strong vocal ability.                                                                                                                           

JOHN THE BELOVED: VA (Age 18-25 or youthful) The youngest disciple

Will need a broad range of emotions, good diction, strong vocal ability. Youthful in appearance.

JOHN THE BAPTIST: VA (25 or older)  Wild, fearless and outspoken 

He is the cousin of Jesus who paved his way; male, character is very wild and passionate with delivery. Very bold in nature. Must have vocal rhythm 

BARABBAS: VA (21 or older)  Evil thief and murderer. 

Male needs to be aggressive in delivery and a broad range of emotions. needs good diction, physically fit for running, leaping and jumping into water.

PONTIUS PILATE: (30 and older) Commander in the Roman Empire

Strong male role. Must be commanding in stature and delivery. Must have strong authoritative voice. 

HEROD ANTIPAS: Lead Supporting: Son of Herod the Great and ruler over Jews

Male must have a strong range of emotion, needs good diction. Boisterous and larger than life character

PETER , MATTHEW, ANDREW: Supporting Character Role: Close followers of Jesus

These roles have a broad range of emotions, good diction and tone of voice.

HIGH PRIESTS ANNAS/CAIAPHAS: Supporting Character Role: Leaders of the Council

male, broad range of many emotions, strong temperament and tone of voice. Commanding in stature. Annas needs to have the presence of an elderly man

(age requirement 40 or older)

HIGH PRIESTS JOSEPH AND NICODEMUS: Supporting Character Role; High    

Priests of a different belief; Male, needs good diction and strong vocal ability.

MICHAEL AND LUCIFER Supporting Character Role: Angels who battle;

either gender, must be physically fit, must command authority and show emotion through upper-body. Must be able to fly 20 ft in the air. We have a weight restriction of 150-200lbs
